We track your interactions within the app to track your progress and engagement:

Humming & Song History: We record which songs you hum and the frequency of your practice sessions to calculate your experience points (XP) and level.
Walk Test Data: We collect specific data from your walk tests, including distance walked (meters), time elapsed, and calculated scores.

Location Data

To accurately measure your performance during walk tests:

Precise and Coarse Location: We access your device's location data while a walk test is active.
Ephemeral Processing: This data is used only "on the spot" to calculate the total distance you have walked. We do not store your specific GPS coordinates or movement history on our servers; we only store the final calculated distance (meters).

Device Information

Push Notifications: We may collect device tokens to send you updates and notifications on your mobile device (iOS/Android).

3How We Use Your Information

Provide and maintain the Focally service.
Track your progress (Levels, XP) based on your activities.
Enable social features, such as challenges with friends (only with people you explicitly invite).
Send you technical notices and support messages.

4Data Sharing and Medical Professionals

Important: We do not share your health or activity data with Medical Professionals by default.

Data sharing with Medical Professionals is strictly consent-based. You may choose to connect with a Medical Professional through the app. If (and only if) you grant explicit consent, the following specific data points will be shared with them to assist in monitoring your progress:

Humming Activity: Frequency and success of your song practice.
Walk Test Data: Your track data (meters walked, time, scores).

You have the right to revoke this consent at any time within the application settings.

5Service Providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to help us operate our app:

AWS (Amazon Web Services): Used for secure file storage (e.g., song audio and art assets).
MongoDB: Used for our database hosting.
